Little BKH was born Sept. 24th at 2:01 ish p.m. We're doing well and I'm so thankful for all of the congrats already posted on mine and Chris' walls. I have to admit that this birth was the one that I was pretty certain would not be able to both begin AND end as a homebirth. We've been blessed with fairly uneventful births in the past, however when my midwife came to do a routine visit on Tues. we were shocked that my blood pressure was...extremely high. We made the decision to get things rolling to prevent any further problems and to hopefully be able to proceed with our plans for homebirth. I had to labor 90% of the time in bed to keep the numbers looking good, however God povided a quick delivery and a healthy 7lb 15 oz little girl. Please continue to pray for me as my blood pressure is still elevated, though it is no where near where it was. The baby appears to be doing great, with no problems from my illness.
The boys and Sarah have enjoyed meeting their little sister. We caught some cute moments that we plan to share as soon as we can!
